This beautiful archeological site includes artifacts from three different historical periods: the Nabatean, the Roman and the Arab. Moah was a stopping point on the ancient Spice Road and many relics from that period can be found at the site.
We recommend that you explore this site from south to north. Walk up the southern hill and, from there, down to the ancient inn. Walk up the northern hill to the stronghold, down to the ancient spring-fed pool and then back to your vehicle.
From the Chetzbah Field School, turn left (south). Drive north on Route 95. Just past Moshav Tzipor, turn right onto a dirt road by the gate that says (in Hebrew) “Moah, Spice Road”. Follow the dirt road into Nachal Omer and then follow the black trail signs to the parking lot.
